n the middle of the 20th century, America built a network of roads, bridges, and telecommunications second to none in the world. Yet for several decades, we have underinvested in maintaining and modernizing our infrastructure. Our states are now filled with broken-down roads, closed bridges, mass congestion, and bottlenecks in rail and seaports. Our dilapidated infrastructure costs us time, aggravation, and income. Rebuilding America’s infrastructure for the 21st century will boost jobs, productivity, resilience to floods and storms, and our capacity to innovate. (Source: America’s Goals)

6.a 100% of roads, bridges, railways, airports, sea ports, levees, and dams in good repair
6.b Plans to make every community resilient against natural disasters
6.c Enhance scientific research and technological capabilities
Infrastructure was not something Scripture really addresses. However, modern infrastructure supports vitality and opportunity for our citizens. It is difficult for a number of the other goals to be as effective with a crumbling infrastructure. It is also a matter of safety and making sure our infrastructure is sustainable. Caring for the well being of people and planet — all God’s creation are of paramount importance in faith traditions.
